My Virtual CPA is built by Eugenius Enterprises LLC ("we", "us"). We take a privacy-first, local-first approach: your financial data lives on your own computer, not on our servers. This policy explains what limited information we do collect through our website and services, and how we use it.
The My Virtual CPA desktop application stores your financial data (transactions, accounts, tax information, invoices, holdings, etc.) locally on your device in a private database. We do not receive, access, or store this data, except for the optional features described below that you choose to enable.
Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, our authorized payment provider and Merchant of Record. Lemon Squeezy collects and processes your billing information under its own privacy policy; we receive only the information needed to activate your subscription and provide support (such as your name, email, and order details). See Lemon Squeezy's Privacy Policy.
If you enable Cloud Sync or send documents for e-signature, the relevant data you choose to sync or send is transmitted to and stored on our secure cloud service to provide that feature. These features are optional and off by default.
If you email us, we keep your message and contact details to respond and improve support.
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us operate (e.g., Lemon Squeezy for payments, our email and cloud-hosting providers), and where required by law.
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by emailing support@eugenius.ai. Because app data is stored locally, you control it directly and can delete it on your device at any time.
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but keeping data local by default substantially reduces exposure.
My Virtual CPA is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
We may update this policy; the "Last updated" date will change accordingly. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
